Oscar Wilde once said "Mere colour, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways". Mr Wilde raises something very true. Colour is all around us but so often we fail to notice its beauty until we are exposed to it in extreme, unique levels...and when it does, it affects us in marvellous ways.
Tash and I explored the flower markets early Saturday morning. It was my first visit and boy was I impressed. I'll be thinking twice before I make a purchase at a florist from now on. The markets were beautiful. Even though the setting was a large, metal warehouse, the smells of in-season blossoms and the sound of florists running around trying to find the best deals made me feel alive and warm. It was a wonderful morning. I would recommend it to anyone.
P.S. I turned 21 on Monday. Hip Hip Hooray!
