9-10/20 - One Portrait. One Story

So I've decided to start my own personal project, inspired by the lovely Jodi at Che and Fidel.
For the last 20 weeks of the year, I will be taking a portrait of a person I know, meet or come into contact with. One portrait each week, one story each week.

Week 9 - Meet an embarrassed woman

She represents how embarrassed and sorry I feel for skipping a week in my project last week. Should I blame it on being busy? I would like to...

I have been super busy lately. I've been busy taking photos of families which I am so happy about but it also means that I now have an extra job on top of my full time work. My free time to explore the world and meet new people is slowly diminishing. It's not the end of the world though. I just have to learn to be more creative and productive with the time I do have. It challenges me.

So for my 9th week I am sorry. The photo above is actually one of my favourites taken on this day. She was one of those human statues, all dressed in metallic silver. She stood there alone in a bustling city, watching people watch her do nothing. If a coin fell at her feet, she would move ever so slightly. Children would watch in awe, not knowing if she was real or not. I got my camera and went to take a quick shot of her, and in an instant she hid behind her small bouquet. At first I was disappointed that I didn't capture her face but I actually prefer it this way. There is something mysterious and secretive about it. Don't ya think?

Week 10 - Meet Stephen :)

Today is his birthday and I thought it would only be fitting to put him into my 20 week project.

I don't want to go into too much detail about Stephen's story. I talk about him way too much on this blog (I am obsessed, I can't help it).

I have been with Stephen for 3 of his birthdays now. Comparing the Stephen I knew 3 years ago to the one I know today, I find quite a remarkable difference. Here stands a more confident, independent, humble and Godly man. He is growing and maturing everyday. I'm not sure if he can see it, or if others can see it but I can. It makes me feel so lucky that I get to witness this growth.

Happy Birthday my love. May the next year see you grow into more of a superstar than you are today. I can't wait to walk alongside you in this journey. Love you forever and always xx
