Walking up to the front door I was again confronted with fear and anxiety. The week before I captured my friend and her family, so it didn't matter if she didn't like my work, she's my friend. But this was different. These were real people, a real family.
I really had nothing to fear though. This family was such a pleasure to shoot. They welcomed me with open arms, chatted to me like we were old friends, and were patient with me as I adjusted my settings, trying to get my ideal shot.
Little Isaac was such a little champ too. A little shy at first, he slowly warmed up to me and cracked open the most gorgeous little smile. Seeing a family so happy and in love reminds me why I continue to do this. I remembered that I'm not doing this for me, but for the families and couples that love each other dearly.
Here's to LOVE! :)
