I am currently at home, nose running, head throbbing, dreaming of what seems to be a better place, a more magical place - the city of dreams and opportunities.
It's been 3 years since I have walked the streets of New York. It was summer over there. The city was bustling like nothing I have ever seen before. People were walking everywhere - businessmen, tourists, policemen, dogs. If they weren't walking they were in cabs; the streets were full of yellow metal, moving back and forth, never stopping, never sleeping.
Walking out of the revolving doors into the heart of the city was like a dream. I have never been to a place that was just like how I imagined it. Maybe it's because I live in a city, but something about New York felt like home. The pollution, the noise, the hustle and bustle, the lights - it was a place I related to and a place I miss dearly.
I will go back to New York. I want to take Stephen and perhaps a future family. I want to walk them around Central Park, across the Brooklyn Bridge, through 5th Avenue stopping at Tiffany's and down to Wall Street. I want to go back to Liberty Island and once again say hello to the lady in green watching over the citizens of New York. I want to go to ground zero and pay my respects and say a little prayer.
I want to go back and I will. New York, I'm coming at you.

Sounds like a good plan to me! We are heading to Ecuador next year and then hopefully have a trip up the east coast. I'm praying this includes New York!!
