This Monday is different though. Today is not a good day. All I want to do is curl up into a little ball and go to sleep.
I would go into the details of why I hate today but there really isn't much point in venting to you like that. I don't want to do that to you. Just know that today isn't that good and I miss my weekend so very much.
Last weekend was a really good weekend. I don't know why but it just went really well and I felt good throughout the whole thing. I spent Saturday lazing around, getting breakfast with Stephen which included trying out my very first Cronut (amazing!). Then after heading to Sushi Train by the beach for some late night summer bliss, we went to our good friends house to chat about immature shenanigans and childhood memories. Twas a simple yet lovely day.
My Sunday shoot got cancelled which meant I had the whole day again to enjoy. We decided to go for a bike ride around centennial park. Now I haven't been on a bike in years, so it was a little daunting for me, but once I gave that initial push it was all smooth sailing and I had the time of my life - my legs didn't feel too badly either!
All in all it was amazing and I miss it.
Here's hoping Friday will come as quickly as November did this year.
p.s. sorry for the vent! I don't plan on doing these kind of posts very much.
Ah, you shouldn't have to apologize if you need to vent every now and again! That's what a blog is for! Haha you should go over some of my posts from the past. There are a LOT of mopey/ranty posts up in there. If you want my honest opinion, I like the rants just as much as the 'regular' posts. They remind me that I'm not the only one struggling occasionally...plus they really save your sanity sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you had a good weekend though! Insanely jealous that you got to try a cronut. I haven't found a place in NZ that sells them yet!
I know you're right. I guess sometimes I feel a little selfish for ranting on about myself when there are thousands of people with much worse problems than me. Though I like to look at pain as something that is relative. Pain is different for different people. Something that may seem hard for one may be easy for another.
DeleteThanks for the support though. I hope you can find a cronut vendor in NZ. They are simply amazing and I am so glad I got to try one :)
It is nice that you don't have to keep the pretence of being happy all the time. Like, c'mon who is that ever true for?! Keep your chin up :) xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Lucy. I try to stay real on here - I'm not perfect, nor is anyone. Why kid ourselves right?!
Deletehang in there lady! We all have those days and it's completely okay to vent! It helps me anyway. Might I add that the cronut up there looks quite AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yessie! (Can I call you that?)
DeleteThe cronut was amazing. It was my first ever Cronut experience and I know it certainly wont be the last
What's a cronut? It looks delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteJust remember that Mondays are chances for new beginnings. Hang in there! <3

Thanks Lyric - I love how that is your name btw!
DeleteA cronut is a little piece of heaven that crosses the yummy pastry goodness of a croissant with the sugary wonder of a donut. Absolute bliss :)
I really hope everything is looking up for you now! Sometimes, we just have our days where everything isn't swell.
