7am. Wake up
8am. Enjoying the morning sun with this one.
9am. Much needed.
10am. Sorting through my goodie bag from the Hooray Magazine launch party.
11am. Cleaned my room. No more 'floordrobe' to be seen.
12pm. Washed my car
1pm. Lunch, with a welcome guest
2pm. Nothing beats a fresh juice...
3pm. ...except maybe some retail therapy
4pm. Finished watching Before Sunrise. So romantic, yet somewhat unrealistic.
5pm. Nap time.
I'm posting on a Saturday - what has become of me?
To be honest, my Friday was frantic and was spent partying with the team of Hooray Magazine who just launched their first issue of HOORAY. It was a night to remember for sure. Pinyatas, fairy floss, icecream, fake tattoos and 90s music which forced me to kick off my heels and party like it was the turn of the millennium.
As a result, I awoke this morning realising I hadn't organised anything for my day. My friends were busy, Stephen was busy and I was left with a whole day to spend by myself.
I decided to be productive yet chilled with my day, a part of which was to be spent participating in the 'A photo an hour' series, coordinated by the lovely ladies at A Lively Blend and Lucky Number Seven Studio. Credit goes to them for the first image.
And so here we are. A series of 11 photos over 11 hours.
Things you missed however:
- Dancing along to Alt-J as I cleaned my room
- Getting my shoes soaked cleaning the car
- Parking into the tightest spot at the shopping centre and almost having a meltdown
- Realising I desperately need new stockings
- Not packing for trips I should be packing for
- Buying new liquid eyeliner in hopes that one day I will perfect the cat eye!
Looks like you had a both relaxing + productive day! The Hooray party sounds like it was fun too. Puts me to shame, I was super lazy all day today and spent most of it in bed... :X
ReplyDeleteThat, too, sounds amazing!
DeleteWhat a super relaxing day you had - and I loved seeing the photos of it!
ReplyDelete-Kati
Forever jealous that Australians get to have parrots and other tropical birds join them for picnics and fly in their windows unannounced and everything.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting that other nations are not so lucky
DeleteWow this is an amazing photo set :)
ReplyDeleteMarissa Jamie : Faithfully, Marissa ♡
I've been meaning to watch that movie but have heard mixed reviews - actually need to watch the whole series. Love the light with your cat, the awesome rainbow lorikeet and Hooray looks like a super fun magazine too :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely day and I love all the photos! The party sounds amazing as well. :)
ReplyDeleteGahhh, I love this photo challenge! Your photography is so ridiculously gorgeous. I love the car-washing shot. Hmm, well my Saturday just started and I'm really hoping to have to quiet time to read and watch episodes of The Fabric of the Cosmos. So hopefully a fun afternoon of geeking out haha. But so far just some much-needed coffee. x)
ReplyDeleteCoffee is the best way to start a day (IMHO)
Deletethese are just gorgeous. i love a photo an hour challenges and i should totally try that myself again!
ReplyDeletehappy saturday! (or i guess sunday in your case. :P )
awesome challenge idea. now i want to try. photos all turned out beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteI love these posts, its fun to see what you got up to! That parrot is such amazing colours!
ReplyDeleteHooray! magazine seems so cute, how/why have I not heard of this until now?! And that goodie bag has to be one of the best I've seen!! :) My Saturday was spent napping before heading into the city to meet up with a photographer from New Zealand, followed by dinner with my mum and then photographing a 21st. Phew.
ReplyDeleteYou are on fire aren't you! We should collaborate one day ;)
DeleteDef a chilled day. Sounds like plenty of fun.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous post... and of course beautiful pictures. I love projects like this :) Might have to consider it myself one weekend! The lighting on your kittycat shot for the 8am portion of your day is too good.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful post, I love seeing little insights to people's lives behind the lens and away from the computer! I especially love the shot of your hand with the remnants of the Hooray! party on it (the temp tattoo). So gla dyou had a good night and a good Saturday all to yourself. I spent Saturday celebrating a friends birthday with lunch in the sun, it's so lovely to spend time with the girls and girls only sometime!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad you noticed the tattoo!
DeleteGlad you had a wonderful Saturday :)
Your pictures are gorgeous! I especially love the car washing photo and the clean room photo, but they're all beautiful. And I love Before Sunrise. Like you said, somewhat unrealistic, but that entire series is one of my favorites. :)
ReplyDeletelovely captures throughout your day. i've seen these a photo an hour type of posts in several places and have been meaning to do it! perhaps soon!
ReplyDeleteKeep trying with the liquid eyeliner. It was life changing for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love this idea and totally incorporating it in a post to come! Everything is lovely. Beautiful blog!
