Our feet hit the sand
So slowly and yet all at once
The water rushes between our toes
The wind dances in our hair
The laughter of children can be heard
Rolling in and amongst the waves
They call to me
To us
Christmas is today
and so Australian it is
We feed the wild birds in the garden
and listen to them sing
This is a lonely holiday for many
and a pleasant one for some
but Christmas isn't about all that for me
It is about love
The love for ourselves
for this world
for the people around us
for everything we have and don't have
The love for the sand that sticks to my body
for the tan that kisses my skin
for the water that leaves my lips salty for days
It is about love
and we all have love
even if we don't first see it
Find the love today
and hold it close.
Find the love
and don't let it go.
xx
This is absolutely beautiful. xx

Gorgeous everything as always. As I sit here in very warm pants, thick socks, a woollen jumper AND a beanie (with extra large pom pom just for kicks!) I wouldn't mind a bit of a stroll on the beach right about now...!
